We believe God is calling us to reimagine what it means to be the Church in our city. "Reimagining the church" simply means that we are willing to change some details of what we do to better fulfill our calling. Our calling is essentially a call to discipleship (e.g., "go and make disciples" from Matt 28:19). For us to grow faithfully into our calling as Christians about the Great Commission, we have to prioritize growing in discipleship.
Discipleship is the intentional movement toward Christlikeness, empowered by his presence, enabled by his community, and embodied in his mission. Growing in discipleship means growing specifically in those three areas: presence, community, and mission. Another way to say this is that we need to cultivate our connection to God (presence), our connection to each other (community), and our connection to the world (mission). We need all three of these working together to follow Jesus faithfully.
Many of us would quickly agree that our Christian identity includes living out these basic pillars of discipleship. The truth is though, in a broken, busy, and distracting world, it's easy for us to lose sight of what matters most. REALIZE 2025 is our way of prioritizing growth in discipleship to realize our God-given potential.
There are two very simple steps to join us in REALIZE 2025:
"empowered by his presence"
Even Jesus operated only by the power of the Spirit. We need the presence of the spirit in our lives to realize our calling.
Acts 10:37-38
"enabled by his community"
Jesus appointed the Twelve to "be with him" not just come hear him preach to the crowds. Discipleship happens in intentional, authentic relationships.
Mark 3:14, Prov 27:17
"embodied in his mission"
God's mission is to reconcile the world to himself. We become faithful followers of Jesus when we are shaped by participating in his mission.
2 Corinthians 5:18

REALIZE 2025 is our strategic call for everyone in our church families to join together, accept the responsibility of our calling toward discipleship and take deliberate steps toward becoming the people that God has called us to be in the next two, years.
This is for anyone currently part of either Branch Church or First Baptist Church of Red Bank. We are working on making resources available to our wider online audience, but for now, we are focused on those who can meet in person, in Red Bank, NJ. If you aren't a part of Branch or FBC, but would like to get involved, send us a message below.
As Christians, sometimes we do a poor job of being unified as fellow believers. This is a problem because it negatively impacts our witness for Jesus (John 17:20-23). Branch and FBC have worked hard to display a spirit of unity by co-laboring together for the Kingdom. We believe that this is an important part of our witness to the next generation. You can be sure we won't be making fun of the church across town!
Please reach out to us if you have any questions about being part of our local church community in Red Bank, NJ.
Warm regards,
Jared, Steve & Darren
